Ali and Friederike of Chocolate Tree create award winning craft chocolate, connecting their customers with the whole process and origin through transparent trade. Their mission is to create fine flavour chocolate whilst protecting biodiversity and rewarding farmers with a high price for their cacao. They purchase organic agro-forestry cacao from farms mostly in South and Central America. The cacao they use has been fermented and dried to an exceptional standard by the growers at origin. Only through these careful post harvest processes can the best flavours of the chocolate be brought to life.
They take a down to earth but perfectionist approach to chocolate making; working both from cacao bean and from cacao liquor to create two different ranges of premium organic craft chocolate bars. They process the cacao in small batches up to 80kg.
The range includes some single estate origin bars alongside some fun and nutritious bars with inclusions and alternatives to dairy and cane sugar. Everything they use in our factory is sourced with consideration for how it is produced, where it comes from, and if it is really needed in the first place. The Chocolate Tree products are only made with simple and pure ingredients. The packaging is mostly biodegradable and from sustainable sources.
